A & J Manufacturing Company, (A&J), is a small women- and family-owned California Corporation that was founded in 1953. We design and manufacture both Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and customized electronic equipment racks and enclosures. In addition, we have developed a large variety of installation kits and accessories to meet all your design requirements. We occupy a 45,190 sq. ft. facility in Foothill Ranch, CA, which houses fabrication and assembly operations, as well as engineering, quality assurance, contracts, purchasing, and other administrative functions.

During our 70 years of operation, we were one of the first in the industry to design and develop aluminum extrusions and a unique method of all-bolted together construction, thereby eliminating the need for welding. A family of extrusions was developed to accommodate a wide range of payload requirements, from light to heavy-duty enclosures. These extrusions and method of construction are confidential trade secrets proprietary to A&J. They were developed solely with private funds and are provided to the U.S Government, its contractors, and other customers on a “Limited Rights” basis.
What began as a screw machine shop in Brea, CA, A&J is now headed by Woodrow and Ada’s daughter, Jan Lyerly. And continuing in the tradition of family, Jan’s daughter and son are working to continue the legacy and will become the 3rd generation to add to our rich history as a family-owned business.
A&J Manufacturing Company is a Continuous Improvement focused company through Lean Principles. We are AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 approved and are a delegated source with all the Prime Defense Contractors. Our Quality Management System (QMS) incorporates a disciplined approach to project management, quality assurance, and systems engineering.
